Christian Calendar: A Scripture-Centered Guide for the Life of Christ

This calendar is offered as a quiet companion to Scripture, not as a rule for the church. It is intended to help Christians remember and reflect on the saving work of Christ across the year, while remaining firmly rooted in the freedom of the gospel.

Unlike our Reformed Calendar which focuses on Reformed history and theology, this calendar is intentionally simple and Christ-focused, following the broad contours of the historic Christian year without requiring liturgical observance or binding the conscience. Its aim is not to prescribe practices, but to orient reflection around the gospel as it unfolds through redemptive history.

Each date includes:

  • a brief, restrained summary explaining the significance of the day
  • a single ESV Scripture reference, presented clearly and without commentary

A Note on Use

This calendar is offered as a quiet aid for reflection through the year. Scripture alone remains the rule of faith and life, and the Lord’s Day remains central to Christian worship.
